More than $128 million of capital works will take place over the next 12 months as part of a $318 million budget approved by Council.
The Delivery Program and Operational Plan sets out the tasks and projects which Council will complete over the next year to respond to the needs of the community and deliver essential services.
“It’s an exciting time to be a resident of Campbelltown with so many things happening across our community, highlighted in this budget,” Mayor George Brticevic said.
“There’s also a significant commitment to Council’s core responsibilities such as road and park maintenance, events, new parks and play spaces and waste,” Cr Brticevic said.
“Thank you to everyone in the community who provided their feedback and had their views reflected in the Delivery Program and Operational Plan,” he said.
Key features of the Operational Plan include:
- Construction of the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands
- Reimagining Campbelltown City Centre Master Plan priority projects
- Progress Community and Justice Precinct
- Recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic
- Recreation and cultural projects
The $128 million capital works program includes $18.4 million for local roads, footpaths and cycleways.
