Deniliquin Swim Centre and Hydrotherapy Pool

The new Deniliquin Swim Centre and Hydrotherapy Pool Operators, LSA Group, will reveal a range of initiatives planned for the facility including a focus on children's safety, at a public consultation Tuesday 11 October.

Council's CEO Phil Stone is encouraging Edward River residents to attend and share their suggestions.

"LSA will announce a range of exciting programs and initiatives, including healthier food options and sustainability initiatives. This will be a great opportunity for the local community to also come down to provide their input on what they'd like to see improved," said Mr Stone.

LSA Swimming also recently became the first company in the aquatic industry to receive a Child Safeguard Certification, which aims to create and maintain safe environments for children.

"We want parents and the community to know we take the safety of children very seriously," said Hannah Pigram, LSA's Chief Experience Officer.

"As well as our industry-first certification ensuring the Centre is a safe place for children, we are committed to ensuring that every local child has access to swimming lessons but to do that, we need more local instructors," she added.

"If you're a qualified instructor - please apply. The more instructors we have, the more classes we can put on, and the more children we can teach to swim. It's a weekend course with workplace training and a guaranteed job."

The community consultation will be held at 4pm Tuesday, 11 October, at the Deniliquin Swim Centre.
