Councillor Peter Wilkins has been re-elected as Deputy Mayor at last night's Council meeting.
The annual election of the mayoral support positions also included the appointment of Councillor Selena Clancy as Assistant Deputy Mayor.
The ward one councillors were elected through a ballot process of voting by councillors at the meeting.
A Walkley Award winning journalist, Cr Wilkins brings his passion for making a difference to his local community to the role. Cr Clancy is also a respected leader, having served in the Australian Army for more than two decades including a senior position in the Commando Regiment.
These roles assist with mayoral duties in the absence of the Mayor.
Council comprises a Mayor and 12 Councillors – four Councillors representing each of our three wards. The current list of Councillors can be found on Council's website.
