Deputy Mayor election and conference on Council's January agenda

The first Ordinary Meeting of Council for this term will be held in Council Chambers from 9am on Tuesday 25 January.

Among the agenda items for consideration by Council is the election of the Deputy Mayor, allocating the voting delegates for Local Government New South Wales Special Conference and appointing members to the General Manager's Performance Review Panel.

Election of Deputy Mayor

A member of Council will be elected as Deputy Mayor by open voting and will serve this position until September 2022.

Allocation of voting delegates for Local Government New South Wales Special Conference

Council will decide who will attend Local Government NSW's Special Conference in Sydney from Monday 28 February to Wednesday 2 March 2022.

The conference focusses on how Council's can drive locally led employment and economic recovery particularly with the difficulties posed by the pandemic. The Councillors attending can vote on items on behalf of Council.

Appoint Councillors to the General Manager's Performance Review Panel

The General Manager's Performance Review Panel will need to be appointed prior to the February Council Meeting. Council will consider the appointment of the Mayor, Deputy mayor and one other Councillor to the General Manager's Performance Review Panel.
