Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman spoke today with French Foreign Ministry Secretary General Anne-Marie Descôtes. The Deputy Secretary and the Secretary General reaffirmed their support for Ukraine in the face of Russia's unprovoked and brutal war. They also discussed assistance to Türkiye and the people of Syria after the devastating earthquake on February 6. In addition, the Deputy Secretary and the Secretary General discussed the need for close cooperation to address the challenges posed by the People's Republic of China.
