Deputy Secretary Sherman congratulated Ambassador Ngoc on the conclusion of his tenure as Ambassador and his work in advancing the U.S.-Vietnam comprehensive partnership. They discussed shared efforts to build back better from the COVID-19 pandemic, developments in the South China Sea and Mekong sub-region, and the importance of human rights.
