Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman met today in Paris with French Foreign Ministry Secretary General Anne-Marie Descôtes. They discussed President Macron's recent State Visit to Washington, DC, as well as our significant ongoing joint efforts to support Ukraine in the face of Russia's unprovoked and brutal war. Deputy Secretary Sherman stressed the shared concern we have over the PRC's attempts to erode the status quo in the Taiwan Strait, which threaten regional as well as global peace, stability, and prosperity
