Designer bags and jewellery stolen Blackburn

Handbags and jewellery with an estimated value of over $250,000 have been stolen from a home in the east of Melbourne last month.

Whitehorse Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for assistance following the burglary in Blackburn on 3 August.

The home-owner returned to her Canterbury Road address about 10pm on 3 August to find every room ransacked.

The stolen items include 50 designer handbags worth an estimated $250,000

It's believed the items were stolen some-time between 12pm-10pm on 3 August.

Investigators have released footage and images of some of the items taken during the burglary.
