Detectives investigate 2016 false imprisonment in Cairnlea

Police are appealing for public assistance following an aggravated burglary and false imprisonment in Cairnlea in 2016, Victoria Police say.

It is believed the three males have entered an address on Roseberry Close about 12pm on 9 September.

Investigators have been told a female occupant of the house was locked into a bedroom while the offenders ransacked the property stealing cash, jewellery and documents.

The offenders fled the scene in a white Mercedes van or similar.

The woman, 64-years-of-age at the time, was not injured during the incident.

Police today are releasing CCTV which depicts a vehicle they wish to identify and three men who may be able to assist investigators with their enquiries.

One man is perceived to be of African appearance and appears tall. He was wearing a black top, black pants and a black balaclava.

Another male, perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, also appears tall and was wearing grey pants and red shoes.

A third male is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance and was wearing black clothing.
