Detectives investigate theft and deceptions in southern suburbs

Kingston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to help to identify a man following a theft and series of deceptions in the southern suburbs earlier this month.

Investigators have been told a car was broken into on Talab Court, Chelsea Heights between 11.30pm on 1 May and 2.30am on 2 May and a credit card was stolen.

The stolen card was then used at fast food outlets and service stations in Patterson Lakes and Springvale.

Detectives have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived as Caucasian in appearance and aged in his 20s with a thin build and unshaven face.

Anyone with information or who may recognise the man is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
