Detectives release CCTV as investigation continues into three armed robberies at Kempsey

Police have released CCTV footage as they appeal for information into a string of armed robberies on the state's Mid-North Coast last year.

The State Crime Command's Robbery and Serious Crime Squad established Strike Force Kelburn to investigate three separate armed robberies in Kempsey between November and December.

• About 4.40am on Saturday 28 November 2020, a male armed with a crowbar forced entry into a service station at Lachlan Street, South Kempsey. Following an unsuccessful attempt to open a cash register the offender fled the scene along Graham Lane. Items of clothing were located near the scene and were seized by police.

• Just after 2am on Wednesday 2 December 2020, three males armed with knives and machetes forced entry at the same service station stealing cash and cigarettes. The trio fled the scene along Graham Lane.

• About 4.35am on Sunday 20 December 2020, two males armed with a crowbar and a hammer entered a service station on the Pacific Highway, South Kempsey. A female staff member was assaulted before stealing cash and leaving the store area. The pair fled in a vehicle parked nearby.

As investigations continue, detectives have released CCTV footage of the alleged offenders involved in the robberies that occurred in December and are appealing to the public for information.
