Spotlight on Channel 7 blew the lid off one of the biggest frauds of our time: the electric vehicle (EV) fantasy.
While the Greens and Teals prance around in EV's and lecture hardworking Australians on "sustainability," they're turning a blind eye to the blood-soaked reality behind their so-called "clean" transport. EVs aren't powered by sunshine and good intentions, some are driven by exploitation, environmental vandalism, and dirty nickel ripped out of the ground in some of the poorest corners of the planet.
This isn't "green energy." This is green hypocrisy.
The Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party has never bought into the city dream that a battery can replace common sense. Regional Australia knows better. We know that you can't tow a load, run a farm, or cover real distances in an EV. We know that the so-called "zero emissions" badge is a lie, because those emissions don't disappear, they just get exported to someone else's backyard.
And now, thanks to investigative journalism, we see the truth for what it is. Dirty nickel. Slave labour. Ecological destruction.
Enough is enough.
Regional NSW deserves practical, affordable, and ethical energy solutions, not this billion-dollar fantasy built on corporate greenwashing and overseas misery.
It's time to end the EV obsession and back real industries that support real Australians. That means clean and responsible mining right here in the Hunter. That means investment in reliable power generation, not unreliable fantasies. That means standing up for our workers, our farmers, and our rural communities.
The SFF Party stands for real sustainability, not foreign-funded fads. Let's get back to common sense.
