Dive Into Future Of MidCoast Pools

MidCoast Council

MidCoast Council is inviting community feedback on the draft MidCoast Aquatics Strategy, which outlines how Council will maintain and improve its swimming facilities over the next decade.

Council currently manages 18 aquatic sites, including nine swimming centres, six river enclosures, two ocean baths and one water play area.

"Our aquatic facilities are highly valued by our community and visitors to the region," said Liam Bulley, Executive Manager Public Spaces.

"We encourage everyone who uses Council's aquatic facilities to review the draft and share their feedback," Mr Bulley said.

Community input will help shape the final Strategy before it is presented to Council.

Council-owned pools at Bulahdelah, Nabiac, Stroud and Krambach were assessed in the 2023 pools review so no changes are proposed for these facilities.

The draft strategy delivers on a key recommendation of the MidCoast Open Space and Recreation Strategy 2023–2035.
