The Tasmanian Government is continuing to deliver the school infrastructure our students need, with the construction tender now released for the $25 million redevelopment of Dodges Ferry Primary School.
The scope of works for the school's redevelopment has been shaped through extensive consultation with students, staff and the broader community.
Minister for Education, Jo Palmer, said through our $188 million School Building Blitz, we are delivering major upgrades to schools across Tasmania.
"This redevelopment will be a gamechanger for students and teachers at Dodges Ferry Primary School," Minister Palmer said.
"It'll see 14 new contemporary learning spaces with covered outdoor connections, including a new kindergarten building, reconfiguration of existing roadways, bus drop off, car drop off and visitor/staff carparking, and a whole lot more.
"We know schools are at the heart of our communities, and I want to thank everyone who engaged in the extensive consultation.
"This is more than just an investment in new buildings; it's an investment in the future of our learners.
"Through our Government's 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future, we're continuing our strong record of delivering world-class educational facilities that support our students to grow and thrive."
Subject to the outcome of the tender process, construction is expected to commence early in 2027.
