Young people and our community in the Shoalhaven will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun activities on offer as part of NSW Youth Week.

The annual event from 16-26 April recognises and celebrates the important contribution of young people aged 12-24-years in the community.

This year's Youth Week theme is Dream. Dare. Do. which challenges young people to be courageous in the pursuit of their aspirations.

"Council is proud to support NSW Youth Week. Our young people are the leaders of tomorrow and this event provides an important opportunity for us all to reflect on how their ideas, energy and voices strengthen our community," said acting Vibrant Communities Lead, Jessica Richardson.

"We remain committed to listening to our local young people, supporting them and creating spaces in the Shoalhaven where they can thrive and connect with community," Ms Richardson said.

"I'm delighted we have an array of events and activities available across our facilities to engage, entertain and energise young people in the Shoalhaven, and I encourage all our local young people to get involved," she said.

Shoalhaven Swim, Sport, Fitness will have free pool entry and unlimited waterslide access at the Bay and Basin Leisure Centre for the first 100 visitors from 16-19 April.

There will also be a free slushie and free entry to the pool and inflatable obstacle course at the Sussex Inlet Leisure Centre on Friday 17 April.

Free entry and a slushie will be available for the first 100 children on Sunday 19 and Sunday 26 April at Ulladulla Leisure Centre.
