Drink driver caught 88KM/H over speed limit in Geelong

Geelong Highway Patrol members caught a drink driver yesterday (2 March) in Geelong after he was intercepted traveling at a speed of 188km/h in a 100km/h zone.

Police pulled over the 32-year-old Lara man about 5.45am on the Geelong Ring Road.

The driver underwent a preliminary brief test which indicated the presence of alcohol.

He then allegedly returned an evidentiary breath test of .107.

The man is expected to be charged on summons for speeding and drink driving and his car will be impounded.
