Drink driver crashes at Mount Gambier, SA

A woman has recorded a blood alcohol reading nearly six times the legal limit after crashing her car at Mount Gambier this evening, according to SA Police.

Just before 6pm on Thursday 14 July, police responded to a report of a car crashing into a fence in Byrne Street, Mount Gambier. Fortunately there were no injuries.

The driver, a 39-year-old Mount Gambier woman, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.292. She was reported for drink driving and driving without due care and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date. She was issued with an immediate loss of licence for 12 months and had her car impounded for 28 days.
