A high-range drink driver was found in a fast-food restaurant drive-thru at Whyalla overnight.
Whyalla Police were patrolling the area when they saw a vehicle in the restaurant drive-thru on Nicolson Avenue, Whyalla Norrie about 12.30am on Thursday 3 September.
It will be alleged the driver, a 38-year-old Whyalla man, appeared to be grossly intoxicated and was struggling to speak.
He subsequently recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.306 - more than six times the legal limit.
He was reported for drink driving and issued with a 12-month immediate loss of licence.
His vehicle was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in court.
