Drink driver nabbed in Heidelberg Heights

A woman has lost her licence for 12 months after allegedly drink driving and crashing her sibling's car in Heidelberg Heights last night (30 May).

Greensborough Highway Patrol officers were called to a two-car collision on Haig Street about 11pm.

Upon arrival, they determined the driver, a 22-year-old woman, had driven about 30 metres before allegedly colliding with another car.

No one was injured during the incident.

The Heidelberg Heights woman, who was on a probationary licence, returned a positive preliminary breath test.

She then underwent an evidentiary breath test and returned an alleged reading of .155 per cent.

Her licence was immediately suspended for a year.

She is expected to be charged on summons with drink-driving and a number of traffic-related offences.
