A driver has been fined after becoming stuck in an arrester bed on the South Eastern Freeway this evening.
Police were called to the South Eastern Freeway at Crafers West just before 8pm on Wednesday 27 May, after reports a Toyota sedan had driven into the down track arrester bed.
Police will allege the driver was attempting to find a place to stop and rest but instead became bogged in the safety ramp.
The driver, a 23-year-old Blair Athol man, was issued a $450 fine for driving on an arrester bed.
His Toyota was towed from the ramp.
Police remind motorists that safety ramps are for emergency use only and must be kept clear at all times.
