Driver critical after single-vehicle crash near Windsor, NSW

A man is in a critical condition after his car left the road and hit a power pole in Sydney’s north-west overnight, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Hawkesbury Valley Way at Clarendon, near Windsor, about 12.20am tomorrow, and found a Subaru WRX had stuck a power pole.

The driver, a 34-year-old man was trapped for some time before being released and treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

He was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition and will undergo surgery.

Officers from Hawkesbury Local Area Command established a crime scene which was forensically examined.

Inquiries are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
