Driver dies after multi-vehicle crash

A woman has died following a multi-vehicle crash in Sydney's north-west last weekend.

About 1.15pm (Saturday 29 May 2021), emergency services were called to Windsor Road, Norwest, following reports of a multi-car crash.

Police have been told, a blue Mazda 2 sedan, driven by a 67-year-old woman, was travelling north on Windsor Road, near the intersection of Norwest Boulevarde, when her vehicle impacted with the rear of a Silver Mazda sedan, which was stopped at the intersection. The silver Mazda then impacted with a silver Mitsubishi Triton utility, which was also stationary at the lights.

The woman was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics, before being taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment for serious internal injuries and leg fractures.

Neitehr driver or passengers in the other two vehicles were injured following the crash.

Officers from The Hills Police Area Command attended the scene and commenced inquiries.

On Thursday 3 June 2021, the woman passed away in Westmead Hospital.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
