A driver has been fined after losing control and crashing into a fire hydrant and Stobie pole at Light Square early this morning.
At 1.20am on Tuesday 21 July, witnesses saw a Mercedes Benz sedan lose control on Light Square in Adelaide's CBD.
The car struck a Stobie pole and a fire hydrant, which burst and caused water to flow over the road, before crashing into a parked Toyota van and coming to rest.
No-one was injured and both vehicles were towed.
SA Water and SA Power Networks attended to make the scene safe.
The driver, a 24-year-old Adelaide man, was fined for driving without proper control.
