Driver reported after Birkenhead crash, South Australia

A driver has been reported after a crash at Birkenhead that left a young boy with serious leg injuries.

About 12.10pm today (Monday 7 October) police and ambulance crews were called to May Street after reports that a boy riding a scooter had collided with a four-wheel-drive.

The boy was taken to hospital for treatment of a suspected broken leg.

The driver, a 62-year-old Western Australian man, was reported for aggravated driving without due care and failing to exchange particulars following a crash.

Investigations are continuing.
