Driver reported over North Terrace crash, South Australia

A woman has been reported for numerous traffic offences after a crash in Adelaide on Friday.

Police will allege that just before 2pm on Friday 12 April, emergency services were called to a tram stop at the intersection of North Terrace and West Terrace after a car lost control and collided with a bench at a tram stop.

A pedestrian, a 60-year-old man from Northfield, received non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged from hospital.

The driver, a 30-year-old woman from Woodville Gardens was also taken to hospital as a precaution.

After further enquiries, officers from the Road Policing Section attended the woman's home address today and reported her for driving in a dangerous manner, driving without due care, and failing to maintain control of a motor vehicle. She may face further charges once a sample of her blood has been forensically analysed.

She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
