Driver seriously injured in single-vehicle crash - Central Coast

A driver has been seriously injured and her two passengers hospitalised after a single-vehicle crash on the Central Coast overnight.

About 12.30am (Friday 5 March 2021), emergency services were called to Shelley Beach Road, near the intersection of The Entrance Road, Long Jetty, after a Volkswagen sedan hit a power pole.

The driver, a 32-year-old woman, sustained head injuries and was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital, where she remains in a serious condition.

Two passengers, a 41-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, were also taken to Gosford Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
