Driving instructor arrested over assaults, South Australia

A driving instructor has been arrested and charged with indecently assaulting two learner drivers during driving lessons.

Last night, Saturday 27 June, Eastern District Child and Family Investigation Section detectives arrested a 62-year-old man from the eastern suburbs over assaults that occurred in 2019 and 2020.

It will be alleged the man was a driving instructor and while instructing two teenage learner drivers indecently assaulted them on a number of occasions.

The man was arrested and charged with nine counts of aggravated indecent assault and one count of indecent behaviour. He was bailed with strict conditions to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 26 August.

The Registrar of Motor Vehicles is aware of the offending.
