Drone trial between 11-12 March

This trial project will help us gain a stronger understanding of the benefits of using technologies to improve the way we work and deliver services to our community.

Between 8am and 6pm on these two days, the drones will be checking the condition of our infrastructure assets, including:

  • Storm water drain in Bunbury Curran Creek, Ingleburn
  • Williamson Road Bridge, Ingleburn
  • Lights and structure at Memorial Oval, Ingleburn
  • Railway Parade Bridge, Glenfield
  • Campbelltown Sports Stadium roof, Leumeah
  • Campbelltown Civic Centre, Campbelltown
  • Council building on Broughton Street, Campbelltown
  • Gilchrist Drive Bridge, Macarthur

It will also be used to conduct a swimming pool safety assessment in Glenfield.

The drone will be flown by an accredited Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Operator and in accordance with the state's drone rules and regulations.

We will ensure that it observes our obligations under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act, 1998 when capturing all imagery.

Any images capturing personal information will be identified and destroyed when they are no longer needed.
