The Department of Transport and Planning are holding drop sessions for the community to learn more about the Victorian Government's Activity Centres Program expansion.
In late 2024, the Victorian Government announced an additional 50 'train and tram zone' Activity Centres to help deliver more than 300,000 new homes across Melbourne by 2051.
Four key precincts in Bayside have been identified for future housing growth and renewal. This includes:
- North Brighton Station (Bay Street),
- Middle Brighton Station (Church Street)
- Hampton Station (Hampton Street),
- Sandringham Station (Sandringham Village).
The drop-in sessions are being ran by the Department of Transport and Planning, and not Bayside City Council.
