Drowning at Moana, South Australia

A man has died after he was found unconscious in the water at Moana.

Police and emergency services were called to the scene about 3.25pm on Thursday 24 January after reports that surf lifesavers had pulled the unconscious man from the water.

Lifesavers commenced CPR until paramedics arrived.

Despite resuscitation efforts, the 51-year-old Seaford man passed away at the scene.

There are no suspicious circumstances and police will be preparing a report for the State Coroner.

Anyone who was in the vicinity of Moana beach and saw the man in the water is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
