Drug enforcement operation at Sunshine Coast

Police have charged seven people with a number of drug offences after an operation on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday night.

Officers from the Tactical Crime Squad and detectives, as well as drug detection dogs were utilised in response to reports of drug use and drug supply occurring within Sunshine Coast Safe Night Precincts.

An amount of cocaine, MDMA and cannabis was seized during the operation.

Seven people were charged with 11 offences including possession of dangerous drugs including and other associated drug and property related charges.

They will appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court next month.
