Drugs and cash located after Mildura intercept

A man and woman have been arrested after police located a large amount of drugs and cash during an intercept in Mildura last night.

Patrolling Mildura police officers intercepted a Toyota Prado on the Calder Highway about 11pm.

A subsequent search of the vehicle discovered what is believed to be approximately 120 grams of methylamphetamine with a street value of $20-$25k and a large amount of cash.

A 35-year-old Mildura man was arrested and charged with traffick commercial quantity methylamphetamine, possess methylamphetamine, possess proceeds of crime and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

A 44-year-old Mildura woman was arrested and charged with traffick commercial quantity methylamphetamine, possess methylamphetamine, possess proceeds of crime and commit indictable offence whilst on bail, burglary and theft.

The pair were remanded and will appear at Mildura Magistrates' Court on 1 September.
