Drugs and firearm seized in Griffith

Police have seized drugs and two firearms from two properties in the state’s south west yesterday, NSW Police say.

As part of ongoing investigations, officers from Murrumbidgee Police District executed simultaneous search warrants at properties in Griffith about 8.30am yesterday (Wednesday 29 August 2018).

Police entered a home on Kelly Avenue and located a replica Glock firearm, a crystal substance believed to be the drug ICE, two small bags of seeds believed to be cannabis seeds, $1220 cash and drug utensils/digital scales.

Police also searched a house on Carinya Street and located a shortened .22 bolt¬-action firearm, ammunition, cannabis, a crystal substance believed to be the drug ICE, drug utensils/digital scales, and a functioning taser torch.

The items will be forensically examined and inquiries are continuing.
