Drugs and firearms seized - Lower Templestowe

Detectives from Manningham Crime Investigation Unit have charged a man after executing a warrant in Lower Templestowe.

Officers attended an address in Chalon Avenue about 7.55am Thursday.

A 37-year-old Lower Templestowe man was arrested at the address and a search conducted.

Police located a traffickable quantity of dried cannabis, five handguns, three longarm firearms, cannabis oil manufacturing equipment, cannabis oil, testosterone, 20 cannabis plants and $10,000 dollars.

The man has been charged with cultivate a narcotic plant, traffick a drug of dependence, possess a drug of dependence, possess an unregistered handgun, possess a unregistered longarm, possess proceeds of crime, possess prohibited weapons and possess equipment for trafficking a drug of dependence.

He has been bailed to appear at Ringwood Magistrates' Court 8 November 2021.
