A man has been charged after police located and seized drugs and an imitation firearm during a search warrant south of Wollongong today.
About 9am (Thursday 10 October 2019) officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District executed a search warrant at a set of industrial units on Waverley Drive, Unanderra.
Officers located and seized 47 cannabis plants of various sizes, an imitation firearm, drug paraphernalia and hydroponic equipment.
A 41-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station and charged with cultivate prohibited plant, supply cannabis, two counts of possess prohibited drug and possess unauthorised pistol.
He was refused bail to appear before Wollongong Local Court tomorrow (Friday 11 October 2019).
