Drugs, cash and car seized in the north west

Detectives from Fawkner Divisional Response Unit have arrested three people today and seized drugs, cash and a sports car as part of major drug investigation Operation Tapeable, Victoria Police say.

With the assistance of the Clandestine Laboratory Squad, Hume Crime Investigation Unit, Brimbank and Geelong Divisional Response Units, investigators executed a number of search warrants in Craigieburn, Mickleham, Cairnlea and Corio.

A 35-year-old Mickleham man, 33-years-old Corio man and 32-year-old Corio woman were arrested during the operation.

Police have seized a large amount of what is believed to be Methylamphetamines, a large sum of cash, Cannabis plants, a high powered motor vehicle believed to be the proceeds of crime, and a number of weapons and ammunition.

The Corio woman has been charged with possess cannabis and bailed to appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court on 27 February

Both men are currently being interviewed and are expected to be charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of Methylamphetamine and will be presented before the Melbourne Night court this evening..
