Drugs, cash and weapons seized during warrants in Melbourne CBD

Officers from the Caulfield Divisional Response Unit have charged two people and located drugs, cash and firearms following a search warrant in the western suburbs.

Yesterday police executed a warrant at a short-term rental property in Flinders Lane as part of an operation into drug trafficking.

They arrested a man and a woman and seized what is alleged to be trafficable quantities of ketamine, cannabis, cocaine, MDMA, GHB and prescription medication.

A number of other items including weapons and over $30,000 in cash was also seized.

A 30-year-old Parkdale man and a 24-year-old Parkdale woman have been charged with multiple offences including traffic and possess drugs, possess prohibited weapons and deal proceeds of crime.

Both appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court yesterday, and the man was further remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 29 September 2021.

The female received bail to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 22 February 2022.
