Drugs, cash, cars and a firearm seized after warrants

Police have seized drugs, cash, cars and a firearm after executing a number of warrants today.

Officers from Fawkner Divisional Response Unit, with the assistance of members from Critical Incident Response Team, Melton Crime Investigation Unit and Australian Federal Police executed warrants in Thomastown, Heidelberg Heights, Lalor, Aintree and Bundoora as part of an investigation into drug trafficking in the local area.

Police seized over $160,000 in cash, a handgun, a Lamborghini, a BMW, a Mercedes AMG, over 1.5 kilograms of methyl-amphetamine, 350 grams of amphetamine, watches worth $30,000 and $40,000 in designer clothing.

Four people were arrested as part of the operation.

A 36-year-old Bundoora man has been charged with traffick large commercial quantity of methyl-amphetamine, traffick commercial quantity of amphetamine and negligently deal with proceeds of crime.

He is expected to face court this evening.

A 22-year-old Heidelberg Heights woman was charged with possess proceeds of crime and has been bailed to face Heidelberg Magistrates' Court on 24 June.

A 27-year-old Lalor man was charged with traffick commercial quantity of methyl-amphetamine, possess cocaine and possess proceeds of crime.

He is expected to face court this evening.

A 47-year-old Aintree woman was charged with possess handgun and traffick commercial quantity of methyl-amphetamine.

She is also expected to face court this evening.
