Drugs, firearm seized after man arrested over DV in Auburn

Police allegedly seized drugs and a replica pistol during a search of Auburn home yesterday, after a man was initially arrested over an alleged domestic incident. , NSW Police say

About 10am (Wednesday 5 December 2018), a 24-year-old man was arrested following a vehicle stop on Cumberland Road, Auburn, over an alleged domestic violence incident on Sunday (2 December 2018).

He was taken to Auburn Police Station.

During a subsequent Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) search of a Pine Road home, police allegedly located a replica pistol, steroids and MDMA tablets.

The man was charged with two counts of common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, contravene prohibition/restriction AVO, firearm etc found at premises – subject to prohibition order, acquire etc pistol – subject to firearms prohibition order, possess unauthorised pistol, and not keep firearm safely-pistol.

He was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today (Thursday 6 December 2018).
