Drugs, Weapons, Fake Documents Seized in Kingston-Bayside Bust

Caulfield Divisional Response Unit detectives have charged a man following an investigation into drug trafficking in the Kingston and Bayside areas.

Officers yesterday executed a search warrant at a residence on Chelsea Road in Chelsea about 7am.

A 37-year-old man and 34-year-old woman were arrested without incident.

During the search warrant, investigators seized:

  • quantities of methylamphetamine, cannabis, steroids, 1-4 Butanediol, ecstasy pills and prescription medications
  • a slingshot
  • a sword
  • fake driver's licenses
  • equipment to produce counterfeit identification documents
  • cash

The Chelsea man has been charged with 20 offences including:

  • traffick commercial quantity of methylamphetamine
  • traffick methylamphetamine
  • possess prohibited weapon (slingshot)
  • possess prohibited weapon (sword)
  • possess schedule 4 poison
  • possess Schedule 8 poison
  • possess drug of dependence - 1-4 Butanediol
  • possess methylamphetamine
  • possess ecstasy
  • possess ketamine
  • possess cannabis
  • make false document
  • deal property suspected proceeds of crime

He was held overnight to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court later today.

The Dandenong North woman was released pending further enquiries.
