Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are aware of a grass fire burning in the vicinity of the Dawson Highway, Dumgree. The fire is currently burning within containment lines in inaccessible country. The fire is posing no threat to property at this time. Nearby residents may be affected by smoke. People are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. Smoke haze will likely affect the Dawson Highway periodically. As smoke may reduce visibility, motorists travelling in the area should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
