Georges River Council is offering a two-week waiver for the Early Learning Services waitlist fee this May. This will help local families manage short-term financial pressures.
The waiver will run from Monday 11 May to Sunday 24 May 2026 and will apply to Council's Early Learning Services waitlists.
The initiative aims to improve access to trusted and quality early childhood education for all families. By temporarily waiving the waitlist fee, Council is removing any financial barriers for the community.
"We know that even small costs can be a barrier for families, especially during times of financial pressure," said Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg.
"All local families deserve quality education and care near their home or place of work."
The five Council Early Learning Centres are:
-
Carss Park Narani Childcare Centre.
-
Penshurst Long Day Care Centre.
-
Jack High Child Care Centre.
-
Oatley West Early Learning Centre.
-
South Hurstville Kindergarten.
