Some of East Gippsland's Youth Ambassadors recently came together for a two-day camp, partnering with East Gippsland Shire Council to explore the issues that matter most to young people across the shire and how they can get involved to make a difference.
Our ten Youth Ambassadors are passionate about sharing the voices and perspectives of local young people. Throughout 2025, they'll be working with Council on key issues, as well as planning and running events and activities that engage and empower youth across East Gippsland.
Jayden spoke about why the program matters tohim: "There are many reasons I've joined the Youth Ambassador Program, but tokeep it simple, I want to ensure that people across East Gippsland and beyondhave the opportunity to share their views, be heard, and know that what theysay truly matters."
Monthly meetings are held on Mondays from 5 pmto 7 pm in Bairnsdale, with the option to join online.
We encourage young people from all parts of EastGippsland to get involved - especially from remote areas - because your voicematters, and we want to make sure your needs are represented.
