Elderly Pedestrian Critically Hurt in Deniliquin: Police Seek Info

Police are appealing for information and dashcam footage after a pedestrian was seriously injured in the state's south.

About 11am today (Tuesday 16 January 2024), emergency services were called to Davidson Street, Deniliquin, following reports an elderly man had been struck by a ute.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated at 90-year-old man at the scene for multiple serious injuries before he was flown to the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, in a critical condition.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

The driver of the ute – a 31-year-old man – was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
