Shellharbour City Council is proud to announce that The Links Shell Cove will host the final qualifier event of the 2026 Ford Women's NSW Open Regional Qualifying Series from 17-19 February.
This prestigious three-day tournament is one of six regional qualifiers across NSW, offering professional and elite amateur golfers the chance to secure one of just two coveted spots in the NSW Open, one of Australia's premier women's golf championships.

The event gives The Links Shell Cove the opportunity to host a Pro-Am leading into the two-day championship qualifier which will give locals and visitors the chance to play alongside local and international professional talent in women's golf. A Pro-Am tournament is where professional golfers team up and compete alongside amateur players.
Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer said the event is a major win for the city and a chance to showcase the region's world-class golfing facilities and tourism to the area.
"This is a proud moment for Shellharbour. Hosting a women's state qualifier puts our city and our course on show and we're thrilled to welcome players, visitors and fans to experience everything our region has to offer."
The Links Shell Cove, known for its wide fairways, coastal winds and dramatic scenery, will provide a fitting and challenging finale to the qualifying series.
Shellharbour City Council is partnering with Golf NSW to deliver a memorable experience for both competitors and spectators. The event is also supported by the NSW Government through Destination NSW, highlighting its importance as a regional tourism and major events drawcard.
Each qualifying event in the series features a $50,000 prize pool, and the final round at Shell Cove will be broadcast live on Kayo Sports, bringing the excitement to fans across the country.
Spectators are encouraged to attend, with free entry available across all three days. It's a unique opportunity to watch elite women's golf up close, enjoy the atmosphere of The Links Shell Cove, and cheer on the sport's rising stars.
