Elizabeth Grove man arrested over guns and weapons

A man will face court after police found guns and weapons in his Elizabeth Grove home, some allegedly stolen back in 2012.

At 6.30pm on Monday 7 October, Elizabeth Police searched an Elizabeth Grove home allegedly locating 10 firearms including a revolver, plus a cache of other weapons including numerous several knives, a baton, nunchucks plus several vials of steroids.

Police checks on the serial numbers of the firearms revealed they and several of the prohibit weapons had allegedly been stolen during a break-in at Echunga in 2012.

The 46-year-old from Elizabeth Grove was arrested and charged with possessing firearms without a licence, theft by receiving stolen goods, unlawful possessions, possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and possession of prohibited and offensive weapons.

He was refused police bail and was expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
