Ellenbrook Police Station: New Front Counter Hours

What's happening?

The Western Australia Police Force will commence a 6-month trial of new hours for the front counter of the Ellenbrook Police Station. The amended operating hours will be 0800-1900 on weekdays, and closed on weekends.

Why is this happening?

WA Police Force data demonstrates that there is minimal foot traffic at Ellenbrook Police Station overnight and often there are days where no overnight attendances are recorded.

Those attendances that were recorded could have been managed & arranged during standard business hours or via alternative service channels such as calls to police via 131 444.

When does the trial start?

The trial will commence from 7am on 30 November 2025 until 7pm on 30 May 2026.

What will happen after the trial?

Pending feedback from the community, members, local organisations and businesses, WA Police Force will consider if the change is made permanently.

What will this change mean for Police response times?

WA Police Force Officers are currently rostered at the station to support front counter operations. By reducing hours of operation for the front counter, officers can be reassigned to frontline police duties.

Calls for police assistance by the community should be directed to 000 in an emergency, which includes immediate threats to people or property or if a serious crime is in progress.

Contact police on 131 444 to report crimes that have happened in the past, request police attendance or for general information.

Where can I provide my feedback on the trial?

Feedback can be provided by your Local Member of Parliament, or directly to the WA Police Force via email at [email protected] .
