Emergency crews responding to fatal house fire - Bonnyrigg

A person has died after a house fire in Bonnyrigg today.

About 11am (Sunday 25 August 2019), emergency services were called to Merinda Place following reports of a house fire.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command, NSW Ambulance paramedics and Fire and Rescue NSW attended.

The fire was contained, and police located the body of a person inside. The person is yet to be formally identified.

The house sustained significant structural damage.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation is underway.
