Emu Plains pet shop vandalised, NSW

Tropical and freshwater fish valued at thousands of dollars have died after a pet shop was vandalised at Emu Plains overnight, NSW Police say.

Fire & Rescue NSW officers were called to the Great Western Highway about 9.45pm (Monday 26 November 2018), and extinguished a blaze inside a pet store.

When the scene was inspected, police found the business had been broken into and dozens of fish tanks had been smashed, killing hundreds of exotic and pet fish.

Police have been told one tank alone contained fish valued at $10,000.

A crime scene has been established while officers from Nepean Police Area Command conduct further inquiries.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
