End in sight for Toorak Village streetscape works

The end is in sight for the Toorak Village streetscape improvement works with the builders on track to move out at the end of the week and the site compounds dismantled next.

Touring the site recently, Mayor Cr Joe Giannfrido with Crs Kate Hely and Marcia Griffin were pleased to see things were moving along and the streetscape would be fully open in time for the holiday season.

The footpaths are all done, minor tidy up works are progressing and trees and furniture are being added daily.

There's one stretch of path on the western corner of Mathoura and Toorak roads that we'll need to come back later to complete, due to the development happening at that location.

As a temporary fix, we've laid an asphalt pavement that will be replaced with concrete to match the rest of the precinct when the development is finished.

This brings to a close nine months of construction, night and day, that we recognise hasn't always been easy for Toorak businesses and their customers.

Thank you to everyone for your patience and cooperation. We hope you enjoy your stylish new shopping experience at Toorak Village.
